From Social Media to Social Commerce

I know someone working at a company that refuses to create an online profile, meaning they refuse to create accounts at Facebook, Twitter etc. They are on LinkedIn, but that's only to recruit - nothing more.

I find it staggering how so many companies and brands don’t see the value of social media and how easy that makes it connecting with both loyal and new customers. Social media is growing, both in number of users and in new technology, and being available by email and phone is no longer alpha omega. They need to realize that if they want to compete, they have to be where the people are!
