Because we can all use a little help sometimes.

As content providers we’re constantly looking for something new to write about, either for a company blog, an article or something of the like, but we’re not superheroes, so sometimes a little bit of help is much appreciated.

So I’ve added here three of my favorite tools that I use when I need to be inspired. Hope they can be as helpful to you as they are for me.

BuzzSumo

Ever wondered what’s been trending online? Google Trends is alright, but it’s not detailed enough for my liking. So, when I found BuzzSumo I was ecstatic. Enter any topic or theme, and BS will show you exactly what is trending in that topic by the amount of likes and shares it’s gotten. It’s up to you if you want to see articles from the last 24 hours, the last week or month or year. See what people are liking and jump on the trending wagon.

HubSpot’s Blog Topic Generator

Perhaps the most simple content generator ever. Write in three nouns and HubSpot will give you a week’s worth of content ideas, just like that. You might have to tweak the nouns a bit to get what you’re looking for, but it’s worth it. Just remember to tweak the suggested title, so that you don’t end up with the same title as everyone else using the generator.

feedly

We all have our preferred RSS feeder, but feedly is definitely my favorite! Simple, organized and makes it easy to share. Just enter the name of the website you want to follow or copy in the web adress and it will find it for you. Arrange them in your preferred categories and start reading through. It even has its own app to make it that much more comfortable for you. It’s a great way to kick off the creative part of your brain in the morning, browsing through your favorite websites, all in one neat feed (which you can choose how will look).
